92 9KT Timing chain alignment?

I have no manual, yet Have the instructions from, I think, fixmysaab. The instructions say align the top dead center mark on the flywheel with the plastic timing indicator on the bell housing (which apparently is the earlier or smaller engine).I have two lines cast in the bell housing and an approximately 1/2" hole . I aligned the 0 degree mark between the two cast lines at which point the lines on the camshaft gears will online up with one side or the other of the numbered casting on the camshaft caps, not center. By the way the marks on the camshaft sprockets are currently aligned at the leading edge of the raised casting on the cam caps. Am I correct in aligning between the marks or should I align the flywheel mark center on the hole? I know the engine runs counterclockwise when looking at the engine from the front. It turns through and ligns back up with no binding. I need some informed insight. TIA, Mike.
