It's easy to overwhelm the stock bypass valve (BOV) with a modified car. My stage 3 (sqr) Aero was running alright but wasn't nearly as fast as it should be a couple weeks ago.. You could get up to 20psi but only by punching it, and it would fade quickly. Most telling was the "Psssch" sound between shifts was more erratic and sometimes would flutter.
So I ordered the Forge diverter from Genuinesaab, and the boost is back and more reliable than ever. A nice, easy fix. Not saying this is your problem, but it's something to consider. (BTW the test for the valve would be pressurizing it with a line and bicycle pump to see if it holds ~20psi, but IMHO it's a piece of crap plastic that has no place in a modified 9K ;-) Good Luck-AMG
