Long wait for suspension kit. Options?

I ordered the Sport Chassis for my '96 nearly 12 weeks ago. Just talked to Nick at Genuine Saab who says he's had a lot of trouble getting the kits in from Sweden. Doesn't know when they'll arrive. I'm not desperately in need of it, so I can wait, but what do you all recommend if I can't get it?
I don't want to lower to car beyond Aero ride height as I use it all year round and don't want to have the low ground clearance in winter and on New England back roads. Plus, I want to keep the ride decent. So that means I stay with stock springs.
Can anyone give me the pluses and minuses of Bilstein Touring vs Koni? I don't want a hard ride. Firm is OK, but I don't want to feel every ripple in the road.
Or has anyone done new stock Sachs shocks and struts with the SAS Bars? That might make a lot of sense, as bars do wonders for handling and were going to be next Spring's add-on after I did the Sport Chassis.
All input is welcome! TIA!
