TCS throttle body revisited after 2 years

'95 Aero with TCS had the TB go south 2 yrs ago. I did a lengthy write up on opening and cleaning out the TB, and my results were excellent. It worked great!
9 mo or so ago it started a very intermittant TB failure. Since it is the wife's car, and we had lots of other traumas in the family, and since it was cold, and since I didn't really know what else I could do, and since a new TB cost $1000, and a rebuild ~ $500, I was not anxious to dig into the problem again. The Aero refused to go further yesterday, so Ineeded to act.
Spent the day today pullng it all appart. Turned out that thebrushes on one side were not sliding. and therefore the armature, or whatever the spot it contacts is called, was scored.
I freed up the brushes andd polished the armature then flushed the motor with electronic cleaner and blasted it with air. Upshot is it now works. I've got to adapt the ECU, I think since the car really is sluggish.
My computer is acting up so I'mgoing to sign off, just wanted to share that it is OK to go in 2nd time.
