The bypass installed on your car is OK IF you don't live in a cold environment. The coolant that passes through the throttle body actually reheats the air somewhat to prevent the throttle from freezing open (quite literally). If you don't live in a cold area, leave the bypass intact as your HP is better...I've heard by as much as 5hp. My 1995 Aero 5sp is set up this way and the difference was very noticable when done at 120k. I live in Seattle so no freezing issues.
