I posted the other day after swapping the 94cde engine for the 95cse which has a seized engine a month and a half ago. After swapping there is a coolant leak. Turned out again it was due to my own mistake. It is because I did not replace the intake manifold gasket. Coolant was leaking into the combustion chamber also causing uneven idle. So a new gasket fixed both symptoms.
After I fixed it I found the the driver side headlight was dimmer than the passenger side. Removed the fuse box cover in the engine compartment to wiggle the head light control and relay. Forgot to put the lid back. Slammed the hood shut. The cover got caught under the middle of the hood driver side, creating a local bulge. Tried to open the hood. It won't open. Repeated pulls of the hood opening lever loosened the cable from the lever. I then used a pair of pliers to pulled on the cable. The pliers slipped. My right hand scrapped against the driver side knee bolster. I needed six stiches in the emergency room to close the wound. But I digressed. So two day before I go out of town for three more weeks the 95cse is running with a stuck shut hood. Ideas?
