I'm bothering everyone again... My car was running fine until about 3 weeks ago. Then it got worse and worse, the TCS would activate when not needed and made it very hard to accelerate from a red light. After I get about 20mph the car drives fine. Finally the Anti Lock light started illuminating. This occurred only after reaching 20mph + after each crank.
I was advised to have the error codes read, the shop told me the Driver Front ABS sensor needed to be replaced. I bought a new sensor and installed it. Now the AntiLock light stays out but the car still activates the TCS during acceleration from a dead stop until I reach at least 20mph and then the car drives fine. Since the new sensor, I noticed the Anti Lock light came on while driving over lots of bumps for just a minute and then it went back out. This has only happened once in about 50 miles.
I installed the new sensor with that metal sleeve from the original. Hopefully that was correct? Does the car have to be re-calibrated after a new sensor is installed? I don't know what else to do. The car drove fine with no problems up until this started. The error code the shop pulled was E523-4
