1988 Turbo. Very fast (when running) :)
I bought a car for my daughter who's 500 miles away. Fixed the car up and drove it to her - now we have a no start issue (and I'm back home).
I put a new ignition amp in - solved a problem while I had it. I bought and sent her another to try - no go.
No bounce on the tach when trying to start.
Changed out the coil - swapped the distributor with a used one ( I have no idea if that one works or not).
Any suggestions welcome.
I'm not even sure there is juice getting to the ignition system - is there an easy way to tell?
Will other year distributors work on that car? Several parts places list the 88' dist. as not available. I've also seen people say the 900 has the same dist. as the 9000.
Should I buy a new computer and send it to her or is that over kill?
Long distance car repair is the WORST!
Thanks guys :)
