Gary,
Can't help you on line repair but if you want to lock the crank/tranny there is a little window on the top of the bell housing between the engine and tranny that you can put "a special Saab tool" in and fits in the flex plate/flywheel teeth and locks it up. It may have a little cover that you need to pry off. You can get the tool from a dealer or possibly an aftermarket supplier. If you have an assistant to help you you can probably forego the "special tool" and use something like a giant screwdriver to stick in the teeth as long as your careful not to break off any teeth. If it's someone else's car, I would try to get the special tool.
