But more important, you would have to also swap in the entire wiring harness from the 90 if you wanted to use the 90 engine, because the later car is a trionic engine, made of completely different stuff. It isn't going to know what the motronic sensors in a 90 would be telling it.
Later-style CPSs send a completely different type of signal than do the earlier type.
