The radiator seems to flush and to be in excellent shape. I put the hose at the top inlet and water flushed out the resivoir top at the cap.
The water in the top hose also chugs, or surges, about every two seconds and the hose is hot and hard even though the temp guage is a little cooler than middle of the guage. The guage would go all the way to hot if I continued to run the engine.
What does the water surging inside the top hose mean? Is that bad? Could it be a stuck thermostat, and where is the thermostat?
Thank you for any help.
