Incidentally, the CSE engine is 200 hp. Aero is 225.
Generally, Saabs manage not to consume oil at all. Some consumption isn't unheard of, but "negligible" ought to describe it if there is.
On the other hand, if you're adding a quart of oil every few thousand miles because it's oozing/seeping/dripping/flowing from one of dozens of seams, seals, or orifices, congratulations on driving a "normal" Saab.
Well, I exaggerate, but oil leakage is a given in Saabs. It's up to you when this becomes an issue. I hate leaving spots on the ground and won't necessarily fix a leak, knowing that it will return or a new one will surface eventually. Most leaks don't result in a very meaningful drop in oil level between changes either.
There are possibilities for bad parts that dump oil into the intake and make it seem like the engine is burning oil, too. Those would chiefly be the turbo, valve stem seals, and PCV system.
