I had this same Starla muffler on my 1994 CS Turbo for the last four or so years. It is otherwise known as a "coffee can" type muffler, it's oval shaped with a depression on top to clear a crossmember under the rear seat of the car, has the exhaust hangers in the proper places. It worked OK, but did not fit as well as the OEM muffler, would occasionally bang the floor when going over large bumps in the road - I guess there is a reason for the convoluted shape of the OEM part. The build quality of the Starla parts is supposed to be better than the Bosal equivalent (what one of the other posters probably has).
Recently, the welds between the pipe and muffler body started to leak, so I had the muffler cut out and a piece of straight tubing welded in its place for $50 (which I thought was high for ~10 minutes of work, but WTF). The pipes are still fine, the exhaust system is now a bit louder at idle, but no more banging over railroad tracks. If your car is a turbo and if the pipes are still OK, you may want to try this as an alternative option.
