...an old front seal will probably come off with it. Toss the old.
Unbolt (or unclip, if you've got a 94 or later model year) the oil pump housing and remove it. Toss the old oil pump cover o-ring.
Clean things up well, and install the new seal into the oil pump cover. The inside of the seal should face inside the engine. Use a block of wood to keep things properly aligned while you're tapping the new seal into place. You don't want to tap around the seal's perimeter for fear you may compromise its seal by damaging it -- use the block of wood to keep the seal straight and tap on the block of wood.
Good policy to put some petroleum jelly around the inside of the seal's lip so that it's lubricated at startup and won't be damaged when you start the car.
Clean up the oil pump gears and reinstall them to the oil pump cover. Prime the pump with petroleum jelly to insure good suction when you start the car (make sure the petroleum jelly is clean and doesn't have any grit in it!).
Now clean the timing cover, install the new oil pump cover o-ring in the oil pump cover (with a little petroleum jelly on it), reinstall the oil pump cover. Make sure the cover is properly seated and that the o-ring hasn't come out of its groove and wedged itself between the timing cover and oil pump cover. Don't be surprised if this takes a few tries.
Reinstall the crank pulley, double check everything, and start the car, watching for any leaks. Hopefully this will be all you need to do.
If the leak persists, it's possible the old seal created a slight groove on the crankshaft where the old lip used to sit. In this case you can usually solve the problem by nudging the seal a couple millimeters farther inside the oil pump housing, but you'll need to remove the oil pump cover and do so with the cover out of the car.
