Hi....This is a hard one. Had Bo at Automotion in Boston rebuild my tranny last October for a cool $2103.00. Just a small problem getting it in reverse since then, but otherwise no complaints. Last week for no apparent reason the speedometer quits working, dropping the car to base boost and making the idle somewhat funky when first started. I was hoping it was just the sender, but when I did the drill test today I got positive movement on the needle. Am I just an unlucky SOB or is this unreasonable to have a broken gear on a transmission I just spent $2600.00 to have rebuilt?($500 for transportation to MA). Does anyone have any comments or ideas? I sure can't do another $2100 just to make that gear work. Seems like such a waste. I am finally getting discouraged with Saabs after 12 years and 10 cars.
Thanks, Brian
