I think some people have had JB Weld hold for years. I would not take the throttle body out in any case - what advantage does this provide? Do take the big intake hose off of the throttle body so you can gauge how far to push the brass tube in; don't push it in more than flush with the bottom surface, otherwise it will disturb the air flow. Clean the parts well so the glue has a fighting chance of holding.
