Hello all.
I have recently returned to daily driving of my 1997 CSE (it being leased out to a friend in the meantime).
It has developed a few (possibly related) electrical issues. They are:
1. At times upons startup, it will turn over slowly, much like if your battery was near-dead. It almost always starts, but certain dash lights don't work - the climate control and the (aftermarket) stereo. The heater usually defaults to the last setting it was on, but goes full-blast. Eventually - all the lights turn back on. Relatedly, the key-fob doesn't work either.
2. The little info display is totally dead. May or may not be related to the above.
3. Window switches are iffy. They sometimes stick, and sometimes refuse to go up. Probably not related, but u never know...
4. My foglights are dead, but I assumed the bulbs wore out - might also be related - haven't checked w/ replacement bulbs yet...
Battery is new, as is alternator. Amperage seems fine under these mysterious conditions. Anyone know what these might be symptoms of? Anyone had similar experiences?
Thanks for any help - this falls more into the annoying category than anything, but I'd like to fix it if possible.
