When I did my clutch job I replaced everything except resurface the flywheel. It looked fine with-out any cracks or bluing. I lightly used a sanding disc and deglaze it. The problem I ended-up with after I did the job was at high turbo boost, the clutch won't hold, (slippage). The thing I realized later is that the flywheel and clutch disc surfaces don't actually wear flat. There is a very slight concave wear to it. You won't really see this, but it's there. To do a professional job of it. Resurface the clutch. You'll be happy you did. I sure wish I had done this resurface job. My car would be awesome! One thing I do have going for me ,is the clutch disc has metal shavings mixed in it so as to keep the flywheel deglazed.
