Intermediate exhaust pipe removal

While waiting for a warm day to tackle this job, I thought I would ask if anyone has any tips or tricks for removing the intermediate pipe from a '97 CSE that lives in the North East USA. The resonator section was replaced 2 years ago, so I'm hoping that end will be ok (I have already started soaking the flange bolts with WD-40). However, I'm a little worried about the cat end, as this intermediate pipe has been on the car as long as I have had it. I have enough tools to cut the nuts / bolts if necessary, but I don't have anything to cut or grind the pipe off the cat. Not sure what to expect. If it's going to be bad I'll leave it for my Saab indy. Thanks in advance.
