According to the eEuroparts site, the Bosch 30093 Voltage regulator is applicable for all 9000s and many Volvos:
"Voltage regulator for all 240 83-93 non/turbo, 240T all, 740, 760, 780 all, 940 91-93 w/80 amp altnernator, 900 79-93 all, 9000 86-94 all(80 amp and 115 amp alternators). Original Bosch."
Why not just switch Voltage Regulators instead of Alternators? It should be considerably less work. Also note that a new one is $27 (has come down quite a bit), so it may not be worth recycling your old parts. I would stick with a genuine Bosch unit based on previous bad experience with non-Bosch parts.
