On each side of the rear of the roof edge there is a square plastic plug and corragated wire loom cover that bridges the wiring into the hatch. The loom can break and let water run into the trunk, or the plug on the roof can break and wind blown water can run into the hole and onto the seats. I just siliconed mine and it solved the problem, but a replacement requires pulling the wiring out of the hatch. Hope this helps.
