I'm needing a different transmission for my '94 Aero. 5 spd Manual. My own is crunching very badly. VERY badly. (It's just 3&4 gone, but eating the others too.) The tow truck dropped it at the shop tonight. I think a used box is the smartest option but will consider others.
I've read lots of posts on transmission evolution at Saab and I gather that '93 and earlier gearboxes won't even fit a '94.
Can someone enlighten me?
Is there more than a difference in the bell housing?
Is the bell housing transferable?
Could I use an older box if I re-use my bell housing?
What are my options in looking for a used transmission, models and years.
Do I need one from a turbo car? etc.
Thank you all
