When I removed mine a while back, I removed the woodgrain dash facia after removing the clock, ACC, radio and storage box. Once the dash was out of the way, I removed the dash top, the the center vent ductwork and from what I recall, I had no issues getting the servo motor setup out. I know its sitting on a shelf in the garage, and I know I didn't chalk it up as one of those "I hope I never have to do THAT again!" jobs like a blower motor / heater core.
