Throttle Body Pin 3,5 Continued

While I had the TB open, I decided to take a look to see if there was any way to clear the safety switch (pins 3,5) problem I was seeing. It would read constant 26.5K ohms, no matter what the throttle position was (switch was not operating). The Potentiometer and Safety Switch is buried in a potted assembly that connects to the shaft of the throttle motor. I peeled off the adhesive used to stake the clips that hold this assembly and pried the assembly off the motor shaft. Sure enough no acess to the switch. Reinstalled assembly back onto motor shaft and checked resistances. Switch was now working! Somehow in the process of removing the assembly and reinstalling it, it cleared the switch problem. Now reads 26.5K closed and drops to around 500 ohms when the throttle (motor) is turned about half way open. I checked all measurements repeatedly and always had passing results. I reapplied silicon adhesive to the clips - after it cures, I plan to reassemble throttle body and give it a whirl.
I wanted to note that I did not see any evidence of leakage/shorting (compromise of the insulation) on the red/black motor wires where they are pressed in to notches on the motor housing, as had been previously reported by others that have rebuilt their TB. 93 CSET 256K miles.
