The hole for the boost gauge hose goes through the false firewall(ie into the aquarium) between and just above the two heater hoses (flow and return)It is a real pain to find. I found it more obvious to take off the aquarium cover ( the long plastic cover at the base of the windscreen/windshield) and peer into the aquarium looking down on the two heater hoses.
On an FPT (gauge equipped car) the hose goes through the hole in the false firewall, then is strapped in place to avoid it being eaten by the wiper motor arms, before being attached to a white nipple mounted in the real firewall with the nipple pointing towards the front of the car. The nipple is mounted higher than the hole in the false firewall but more or less in the same location, ie if you stuck a straightened wire coathanger through the hole in the false firewall and into the aquarium, then angled the wire at 30/40 degrees you'd be in the same neighbourhood as the nipple.
Now as an LPT car is not equipped with a boost gauge, I imagine there is no hole in the false firewall to find. It did look like the hose was just pushed through where a hole had been pierced in the neoprene around the heater hoses, so it is nothing fancy.
I have no idea if an LPT is equipped with a vacuum hose nipple?
Hope that helps
