Would you consider using a Saturn long block? Someone did the swap and wrote up a procedure. The engines are both GM L81 engines designed by Opel and have an unusual 54 degree bank angle. From what I remember, all the sensors had to moved from the old engine to the new one, and the exhaust manifolds had to be swapped. Of course, you would have to change the tensioner, pulleys and timing belt, because you couldn't be sure of their condition. But, other then those items, it looked like a reasonable substitution.
