I personally don't like TCS one bit because I drive in the winter (vermont) and it will kill your momentum going up a hill when it starts to spin, instead of just letting you spin and make your way to the top.
As far as it being a pain, yeah it can be, but with the expensive fix now being an Ultima rebuilt throttle body ($330) instead of a factory saab one ($1,000+), the odds that you'll have to break the bank fixing it is reduced.
Also, there is a LOT of information out there on how to diagnose, fix, and prevent TCS issues. It isn't the "black box" that it once used to be.
As long as you don't mind it for the winter driving issue I mentioned above, go for it (but use the fact that TCS is frowned upon in your price negotiations!!)
