Thanks for the offer Dick...I may end up taking you up on that! I don't have a check engine light, and the car seems to have proper boost. I'd read that no speedo signal may or may not set all kinds of problems into motion.
My main concern is keeping track of mileage for fuel economy and oil changes. I have another tranny which needs rebuild, and that may be less involved than rebuilding the one I have in the car.
Is that gear inside the tranny nylon / plastic as well???
