I agree with Gene, bad bearings are not the sole cause of oil pressure loss. We had a case with the wife's 9K CSE, where the plastic front timing chain guide had broken off from the little plastic piton in the block, (unnoticible) and we had no oil pressure. I susbect that was caused by excesive timing chain play due to wear, and agressive driving, combined with overheating. Botton line, the guide failed, resulting in no oil pressure.
