Wearing on the inside sounds like its the camber, which can't be adjusted unless you get a set of cam bolts for the pivot to strut connection. As far as clunks, it could be many things, tie rod ends, sway bar bushings, loose subframe bolts.
Its a matter of getting it up in the air and shaking down the front end to check for loosenes in any of the components. Before removing the tire, push it at 9 and 3 oclock and 12 and 6 oclock and see if you can feel any play, then take the wheel off and using a pry bar or crowbar, lever on each bushing, ball joint etc and check for any movement. Grab the strut and see if there is any play. Grab the disc and turn the wheel stop to stop and feel for any clunking. Check the axle nuts for tightness.
