Does this sound like a dragging caliper? Posted by turrbo [Email] (#8) [Profile/Gallery] (more from turrbo) on Thu, 24 Apr 2008 21:14:53 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I've started to notice a repetitive, quiet scraping noise at slow speeds that seems to correlate with the spin of the wheel. It's definitely coming from the right front wheel area. If I press on the brake, the noise sort of evens out. A bit hard to describe.
No MPG decrease (I've increased over the past few weeks in fact, must be selling "summer gas" now), and the steering wheel is straight and true. The car is my '95 9k, and it's going to the dealer on Tuesday, but I'm curious as to what's up. My front left caliper was replaced a couple years ago, but this is still the original. What about a wheel bearing? Does those sound like this?
Thanks!
