why flush before the line change?

First off, you'll want to put the car on a solid jack stand.
If you're going to change the hose, I don't think you'll really need to bleed the caliper first. If there's something wrong with the brake line, I don't think you want to push any crud from it further into the caliper.
Just out of curiosity - why change the hose?
How do you plan on bleeding?
