A simple cleaning of the throttle body is reasonable. To me, that would be pulling the big hose off, and while holding the throttle plate open, clean the surface where the plate closes with a lint-free cloth. I wouldn't recommend pulling the throttle plate off. I'd also make sure all the hoses are in good shape, pull them off to make sure no nipples are plugged, and the hoses go back on right.
