All used up; time for another one. No, actually... Posted by Ari [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Blinking Arrow Dot, saabinmoscow, Tue, 13 May 2008 12:53:07 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
It's the self destruct - run!
Sorry, I can't help it. I'm not sure, but try this-
Press and hold the R and INFO buttons at the same time for at least 4 seconds.
The flashing arrow pointing towards a green dot indicates that the system believes that you have less than 30 miles/50Km left of fuel, based on the fuel consumption calculation. The average fuel consumption is based on total gallons and total distance, but to a maximum of about 6000 miles. Now in Imperial/US measurement, mileage is in Miles Per Gallon, where bigger is better (ain't it always in the US?) But metric fuel consumption is L/100KM, where less is better.
When the counter goes to maximum, the US/Imperial measurement goes to 99.9 MPG. I'm just guessing that the Metric goes to 0.00. Pressing R and INFO simultaneously for at least 4 seconds clears that mileage memory. Average fuel consumption will start over.
Just a guess, but it can't hurt to try. If it isn't that, then the self destruct has been activated.
