Hello folks - just a question for the cognesenti. While I bring my two pre CS Carlssons back to life - 91 Black 5 door and Uber rare 91 blue 4 door CD from the donated organs of my 91 5 door, I have bought the captioned car as a runaround. Fixed all the usual TCS bugs with all the extra bits I have on the shelf. However, I can't seem to find the grounding pin (pin 3) on the black plastic firewall connector, where it is on the pre CSE vehicles to interrogate the Fuel injection system. Does anyone know if the Check Engine light code sequence interrogation feature was removed from the 91/92 CSE Auto? It's a TCS car like the manual Carlsson's I have and everything else is fairly similar. The Saab service book says I can read the codes this way but there is no earth connector in the block or in the loom to have fallen out. Any idea if this feature was not present on auto's or was it in fact removed altogether and the saab tech service manual is incorrect.
Any alternative earthing point to tap into?
regards,
Clark Wilson
