When I told my indy about the suspension kit he thought it was pretty cool, not even having to compress the front struts.

So he says, "You gonna have a new rear bar? It's a LOT faster if I don't have to keep your old bar, because it can be very time consuming to get all the pieces apart without damaging the bar."

THAT, plus the poor roll stiffness of the 9K made me think about getting new bars. I suspect labor I'll save at his shop by having a new rear pays for half the bars and I don't have to mess with it (or at least that's how I'm justifying it).

When I finally got around to ordering the bars they were back-ordered (sam story with the whole suspension, then SAS found the ones they got in were bent incorrectly so it was more waiting. Now I just have to find time at my indy to get it done. Hopefully in a couple of weeks.

I figure let him do the cussing and frustration. I've learned there are some jobs not worth doing yourself unless you have the right tools and the time. Lying on my back using a recip saw to cut off the old shock/bar mounting bolts is not my idea of a fun afternoon/day, etc. He has a lift, air tools and his hourly rate is less than mine.

I hope it doesn't stiffen the ride up too much, but since the 9K is cushier than I really like it should be fine. And my rear shocks are toast anyway.
