Yeah, on the other hand, i wonder if it would be possible to just switch the shift-up wire over, and use the shift lamp as your knock sensor lamp? seems like it would work fine. then you just need to get the pin on the connector switched, not sure how hard or possible that is (i haven't pulled my ecu to see).
On my c900 and 88 9000 (both being old-school APC engines with distributors) i did it that way, stole the shift-up wire. but i still used an LED for the lamp.
