So, from your description, I'd venture to say that your repair to the pedal pot is probably the cause of the error.
Perhaps the pedal pot has moved slightly in relation to the old mounting point and/or there's a little play in the pot's mounting so that the sliding capacitor (I think it's a capacitor? Ari?) doesn't move right away with the pedal, causing the position of the pot relative to the throttle to go out of synch. This would cause a TCS error and limp home mode.
Certainly the first place I'd recommend looking, though it could of course still be something screwy with the TB.
Quickest way to find our for certain (or, certainish is probably more accurate) is to get an ISAT or Tech II on the beast to pull the codes.
