I changed the oil in my 9000 transmission. I removed the 8mm drain plug and drained the oil. Very dirty and thin. This 8mm plug was located on bottom driver side. I then removed the 8mm level plug on same side but higher and to the right on the case by removing the tire and using a long 3/8 extension to reach/remove that 8mm plug. I then had to remove the battery and battery tray to get enough leverage to remove the 8mm filler plug on top. It looks like the oil had never been serviced, the filler plug was very tight. I then added 1.9 qts of 10w30 dino. The question I have is - since no oil came out the level plug and I put in 1.9 qts of oil I should be OK? I wish the transmission had a dipstick like the old 900's, I just have some doubt I have enough since it didn't drain out the level plug.
