depends....

The later model c900s used the same can as the 9000s except they de-populated them... the mounts for the arm that swings the float up and down and has a wiper for resistance to tell you how much fuel is in the tank don't have the gizmos needed to do it. However, depending upon how adventurous you are... you can move some of those items across from the 9k to the 900. A recent (for me) discovery is that using a heat gun, carefully, allows me to both remove and reinstall that hard plastic line on the barb fittings. If you go slow and are careful you can get the line to relax enough to pull the fitting out of the line, and equally careful you can get it to relax just enough to be able to push the line back in and let it cool. If you have computer air in a can, turn it upside down and give it a blast to both hasten and amplify the shrinkage. You may surprise yourself! Also if works on the 90 degree fittings should you break one (but PLEASE cover the tank with several layers to prevent a disaster!) and do it OUTSIDE too. Now you should not break the 90 degree fittings if you use visegrips to remove the fitting reach over the fitting and point down into the pump and adjust to gently grip between the 90 and pull straight up (i.e. away from the pump) and twist about 10 degrees back and forth as you pull up. This keeps the force away from the 90 degree portion of the fitting which is where it breaks... try it!
