N/A - Turbo swap

I have the chance to trade my subwoofers + amp for a 1988 Saab 9000 Turbo that is 5pd with 250K miles on it. But it sideswiped a guardrail so the passenger side is messed up.
I was wondering do you guys think it is worth it to swap the 250K engine for my 127K N/A engine, but last time i drove my 90 9000S it seemed like it was sputtering & when i floored it it seemed like it had no power at all. Would the turbo engine be compatable with the auto tranny in my car? Or should i just convert my car to 5sp.
The other option i was thinking of is to have the 1988 as my project/faster car. Like repair the side damage, paint the car flat black, do some cheap upgrades. & see how long the car will last me since I would be getting it for basically $230 [price i paid for my audio] + whatever registration fees it has on it.
What would be the best decision to do?
