of the shock mount break pulling it from its "root". Think about it. If the stress was strong enough to tear apart the wires, then somewhere that tearing caused some heavy stress. In other words, follow each wire to where it leads and check to make sure they have not been pulled out of where they normally were. Hope this makes sense. HTH
