did you mean has longer strap per manufacturer, or that *and* should not be gapped smaller? Never saw that anywhere, could you post a link so I can add it to my growing base of little known facts. I *always* check the gap on "pre-gapped" plugs and sometimes find them needing adjustment. Also I always regap my used -11 plugs to 1.0 and everything seems fine. Happy to change my ways if I can see that sited by the manufacturer.
Also you said DI designed for larger gaps, also would like to have that source sited. In the times I've either personally experienced, or helped another trouble shoot, missing under load and most often at speed, the issue has been that the plugs were out of spec on the gap, like 1.4 or larger, or wrong brand, a lessor group was a failing DI.
