Knack for removing rear door's inner panel?

I'll do a search but I already have done that and also am pretty all-eyes about this.'96 CS.
I have popped out the window switch plate and removed the screw under there, the door courtesy light and removed the screw under there, pulled the plugs and emoved the screws at each end of the handle, and popped the little covers and removed the screws at each end of the little bin down bottom.
I am swinging the inner door handle wide.
Panel seems released at all attachment points. I swing it out some at bottom and push up, even bang upwards with my palm, and it doesn't pop out at the edge along the window.
Does that black plastic strip all along the top need to be pried up separately, first, or is it part of the door panel?
I don't want to bust anything and I'm sure once I do one door I will be able to do them all.
Also, I've seen a reference by Ari to his own instructions on popping the driver door's mirror control switch panel out, but haven't yet come across the actual how-to. If anyone knows this knack please reply pleez pleez pleez.
I have already read a tip that says to cut that gooey black urethane sealer with a razor knife as you pull the inner plastic liner off the door if you plan to get at interior stuff. I wouldn't have thought of that.
So, off to do a search but if anyone wants to chime in here feel free.
