I'm trying to figure out why my rear sprayer doesn't work. As I understand it, there is one motor that controls fluid flow to the headlights, windshield, and rear window. All switches will automatically activate the relevant wiper(s), and the front will cause fluid to spray on the windshield. I attempted to clear any obstructions out of the rear nozzle and when that didn't work I removed the nozzle to see if fluid would just pour down the window- no such luck.
So I'm wondering: is there a certain method for activating the rear sprayer *besides* pressing the button on the end of the stalk i.e. do I have to simultaneously press the rear button while activating the front sprayer (I suspect this is unlikely)?
Are the headlight wipers somehow relevant here: a previous owner unconnected the tubing from the mini wipers and tied them into a knot. Could there be some sort of back pressure that would prevent one of the valves from working properly and allowing fluid to go to the rear? (I suspect this is unlikely too).
Or third, (most likely scenario) I just have a bad valve in the tubing somewhere? Where does the tubing run- is it possible my sunroof pinched/severed the tube somewhere inside the roof?
I suppose another scenario is the button to activate the rear washer motor doesn't work, but does signal the wiper motor to operate.
Any input is appreciated, this has been bothering me for some time, but I haven't had time to do anything about it.
