First, the automatic climate control has never been the epitome of perfect temperature regulation. But it never hurts to re-calibrate the system. This happens when you put the ACC into self-test.

With the car running, press the Auto and Vent buttons at the same time. Those are the top left (Auto) and bottom right (Vent, looks like <=>). Hold them for a couple of seconds until the display blurs and the system seems to have a mind of its own. Release the buttons and wait about 30 seconds as the system goes through its paces. When it is done, it'll either return to normal, or show a number, like 1 or 2. If it shows a low number, then the system has found faults. A shop can read them out.

However, chances are very good it'll just return to where it was, but having completed a calibration cycle. This often fixes a lot of nagging ACC issues, and should be done any time the battery has been disconnected.

Beyond that, there is the cabin air sensor. That hides behind the little 'bulls eye' grill in the middle of the dash. There is a fan in there pulling in cabin air. It is normal to hear a little whirring sound from the fan, and yes, it is supposed to keep running for about 5 minutes after you stop the car. If the fan isn't spinning, it won't pull in air and will mis-read the cabin air temp. There is also a little sensor the fan pulls the air over; it usually gets crudded up with dust. So one way to clean it is to squirt some compressed air into the bulls-eye. Don't use 90 psi air from a compressor - a can of compressed air like they use to clean a camera lens works well, or compressed air at much lower pressure (10-15 psi).
