PGAero, Saabnutt, adamK and especially Ari are all correct, and are some of the most knowledgeable guys here. The turbo motor is not just the turbo, the ECU and some plumbing. Many of the internal parts of the engine are also different, and for sound engineering reasons. The small ends of con rods, for example, have oil sprayers that squirt oil at the underside of the pistons to help cool them under boost. The pistons themselves are different. So are the cams. I think the valves are, too, possibly sodium filled.
The ECU and APC systems are critical to the turbo motor and knock control.
It's your money, but even if the stuff is free, it's not going to give you an engine that will hold up very long. Expect loud expensive noises from the engine bay.
Remember, there are few free lunches in life. And speed costs money. How fast do you want to go?
