My boost gauges went out the other day - both of them - so I found myself looking at all the little vacuum hoses in that system. The inevitable culprit was the hose - it had come off the spigot inside the aquarium, when it goes through the firewall into the space behind the dash.

All fixed now - but as part of the process I opened up my Forge bypass valve and I have to say I didn't expect it to be so incredibly mucky inside. It seemed to be working OK (though not once the hose came off, of course) but it needed a very thorough clean and re-grease.

There are PDFs on the Forge site with servicing instructions - but I'd neglected this so thought I'd post a reminder that they are not "fit & forget" but repay annual attention.

Anther little tip - those plastic clamps for freezer bags are just right for shutting off sections of small hose while troubleshooting.
