in order to replace the springs you need to unbolt the ABS sender a 10mm deep reach socket works, from the back of the caliper, remove the bolt and draw the sender straight up, the fitting that holds the ABS sender line on the arm, it's a two torx affair, and there are also two or three clips too, then lift that out of the channel as when you pull the shock bolt and the suspension bolt and let the arm down, that is the one that is too short. I just unbolt the calipers and zip tie them up on something. reverse to put back together.

I just got done doing an East Coast car and we had to cut the shock bolt out, in pieces (think slicing a salami) as the sleeves were fused to the bolt. Hope yours goes better than that!
