First, the ABS light. When you start the car, does it come on briefly, go out, and then come back on when you start moving? Or is it on when you start the car, and stays on? The difference is in the type of fault.

Pull the 10 amp fuse in the ABS relay panel (small box up by firewall in the engine compartment). Replace it. That should clear the fault. See when and if it comes back.

If the ABS light comes on and stays on, even without the car moving, the ABS system is failing the start-up check. The most common reason is one bad sensor. If you check the sensor resistances, one will usually be out of whack with the other three. Normal is around 1200 ohms.

If the light goes out, but comes one shortly after the car is moving, the problem is probably gunk buildup in one (or more) of the sensor wheels on a hub.

Depending on the year (what year and model??), the ABS codes can be read out by an Indy or a Dealer.

As to the vibration - it's unlikely it's related to the ABS, especially if it happens only occasionally. When the vibration occurs, is it after the brakes have been used a lot? Does it start when braking at high speed? If it happens when the brakes have been used a lot, it can be a flaw in one rotor. When it gets hot, it warps, and then returns to normal after it cools down. If it starts at high speed, it might be as simple as a worn suspension bushing. The front end gets into a resonant vibration under braking (when suspension geometry changes), and the vibration stays until you stop braking. It's not speed related other than it's more likely to start at high speed, but can remain as you slow down. How do the tires look? Any sign of cupping or uneven wear?

I'd troubleshoot the ABS problem, and then see if the vibration goes away. Or try to pinpoint what conditions cause the vibration to start.
